I had a great time at the Lori Foster Readers and Authors Get Together…such a great time that I didn’t take a single photo to share. Mea maxima culpa. Sometime in the near future there will actually be photos posted at Lori’s website, www.loriefoster.com, so make sure you all check that out.
For those of you who haven’t attended, I highly recommend you consider doing so next year. Held the first weekend in June, it’s a reasonably priced, very relaxed event that always results in learning and laughter. Heavy on the laughter. The authors are highly approachable and the readers…let me tell you, those ladies know their romance!
There were a plethora (always looking for a chance to use that vocab word in a sentence) of raffle baskets donated by authors, publishers and other industry individuals. One contained the Holy Grail of e-book readers—a Kindle. I battled valiantly dear readers, but alas, the spoils of the “Keep This Ticket” war were not mine.
My defeat was more easily accepted than usual due to the fact I had the opportunity to sign my new release, LOVE’S CHOICE. I love the cover that was designed for the print version of this book. The original e-book was part of Ellora’s Cave’s Torrid Tarot series and as such, it had a rendition of “The Lovers” card on the front. For the print book, the artist kept a male and a female on the new cover but awesomely incorporated the actual e-book cover as one of the tarot cards spread out in front of the embracing couple.
Check it out on your right. And for those of you who haven’t read the excerpt yet, grab a fan and a glass of sweet tea…my hero is a hot, studly southern fishing guide and he would expect nothing less in preparation for another ‘hot and steamy’ read!
